WELCOME TO THE MUSEUM

Inaugurated in 1982, the Cancale museum was created under the leadership of the Association of Friends of Bisquines and Old Cancale. It is located in the old Saint-Méen church rebuilt in the 18th century to the plans of Siméon Garengeau, emulator of Vauban. Collections are kept within these centuries-old walls. The testimonies of Cancalaise life about bisquines, housing, ostreiculture and the port of La Houle, are the major axes.
