This summer, the annual exhibition will focus on the theme "OYSTERS IN HISTORY."

 

It will be held at the Cancale Museum from Friday, July 3rd to Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.

The Thursday lecture series will resume on July 2nd at 5:00 PM in the auditorium of the Cancale Cultural Center, L'Amérance. The following themes will be explored by a group of speakers :

  • July 9: "500 Years of Fishing in Newfoundland" by Philippe Lambert

  • July 16: "Marguerite Lepaistour, Cancale executioner" by Fabrice Mauclair

  • July 23: "Bertrand Gilbert, a captain from Cancale in the Indian Ocean" by Thierry Huck

  • July 30: "Cybercrime" by Bernard Blay

  • August 6: "The Origins of the Identity of the Armorican Peoples" by Yannick Lecerf

  • August 13: "Feudal Mounds of the Marches of Brittany" by Philippe Lanos

  • August 20: "Oysters in History" by Hélène Botcazou

  • August 27: " Gemer , a maritime database" Philippe Hrodej
